Information Officer

In terms of section 1 of PAIA read with section 56 of POPIA, the Information Officer of Graham Silva Insurance Consultants cc is the head of the private body. Ms Dianne Silva has been duly designated to perform the statutory duties of the Information Officer.

To request access to a record: Submit a completed Form 2 (included as Annexure B of the PAIA Manual above) by post or email to the Information Officer. Requests are processed in accordance with PAIA. A request fee of R50.00 applies in most cases; access fees are prescribed in Annexure A of the Manual. The Information Regulator's Guide on how to use PAIA is available at www.justice.gov.za/inforeg.

How we use your personal information

GSIC processes personal information lawfully, fairly and in a manner that does not infringe on your privacy. We collect and use personal information only for the purposes listed below, in compliance with POPIA. Full details are set out in our PAIA Manual.

Client onboarding and identity verification, including FICA compliance

Providing financial advice and intermediary services, including needs analysis

Placing and administering insurance and investment policies with product providers

Premium collection, debit-order administration and reconciliation

Claims notification, investigation, assessment and settlement

Ongoing customer service, including renewals, queries and complaints handling

Compliance with applicable legislation and lawful requests from regulators and courts

Direct marketing to existing clients, subject to your right to opt out at any time

Treating Customers Fairly

How to lodge a complaint

We take complaints seriously. If something has gone wrong, tell us and we will work to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to escalate.
